Actually, cloth masks are only really inn-effective/dangerous in high risk situations which is why nurses and doctors don’t use them because they are constantly in contact with those people. But for the average person it’s actually fine protection.

that’s good to know but for better or worse all the people I know are already spitting in each others mouths, spewing particles, etc. i do wear n95 when in poorly ventilated spaces with strangers and otherwise it’s just droplets directly to the face constantly

person above you is 100% incorrect, ive been reading the research on this since early 2020, cloth masks are extremely bad please just get a respirator if you are going literally anywhere that contagion is a concern for you lol

this post I’m about to make is annoying but I’m going to say it anyway: if I become friends with someone i just tell them which type of person I am (I will tell you if I want you to know something and do not like being asked) and if they feel awkward about it from that point on its on their own head because I already told them in clear language how I do things and gave them the opportunity to tell ME how THEY work. you don’t have to ask someone about sensitive information. you can instead ask them how they prefer to be spoken to about that information without broaching the topic of the sensitive information itself. then you can move forward knowing what they prefer.
