a bunch of anime avatars are mad at me on twitter which is pretty normal but the interesting thing is theyre replying to each other and relating anecdotes of when i did or said something bad and they knew then that i was rotten etc, but none of the anecdotes appear to be stuff i actually did, which has got me wondering how many times i have also incorrectly attributed some shitty post to the wrong person over the years. like it must have happened a lot, i cant possibly be keeping all these posts and usernames and profile pictures straight in my head all the time

i actually showed the posts about bad stuff i did to someone and was like do you remember me making this bad post about ultraman theyre talking about and the third party was like “no that didnt happen” so i dont think it’s just me. of course when you post too much people just get sick of you so thats my own fault

oc blog i mean i shouldnt be clickng around in there anyway its bad for the brain and i think sort of outre even if someone is bothering you directly with bad replies on the other hand it works to nip some stuff in the bud just by blocking them en masse so there are pros and cons i guess

i appear to be shadowbanned here. i didn't even know Tumblr did that. i can't start new convos with people from my main, i cant reply to posts, and apparently notifications that I've liked or reblogged don't show up in post notes. they're furious at me for being so beautiful and so brave

the worst thing about the lollipop lady post is all the british comments guffawing at the hysteria of naming someone a "crossing guard". "what are you guarding??? typical American nonsense" well Nigel they are guarding the very small children from thousands of pounds of fast moving steel, one of the leading causes of death in young children in the usa. i had multiple friends hit by cars and killed or seriously injured before i was out of grade school. another one hit by a car in HS and died. in my middle school a man literally drove a van up to a school sidewalk and tried to snatch several little girls, thankfully they got away, probably because some adult at some point had drilled these small children on abduction protocols. I'm genuinely glad you don't have SUVs pancaking small children as a matter of course in your countries! i think people in other western nations aren't really aware of how bad things are in the USA on the individual level for people just trying to go about their day

is there a term for when you ask someone, like a roommate, to do something really simple that they’re obviously and objectively in the wrong about and they immediately turn it back around on you instead of just saying “oh my bad i forgot”. like in this case

me: hey there’s been a growing pile of hair in the bathtub for a few weeks. could you put it in the trash instead please

person: i forgot. but maybe YOU should rinse out the tub better and clean out your hair from the drain?

me: well i do, but then i put it in the trash can so you dont see it. maybe you could come up with a system for not leaving it in the tub if it’s hard to remember?

person: silence

in this case there is a large dog in the house in addition to two people who have a lot of hair so hair generally is just, around. i dont think hair in the drain is anyone’s particular fault and it certainly is going to keep happening no matter what. just, you know. put it in the trash can

A few years ago I was living in a one-room studio apartment in Seattle.  It was 3 in the morning, I was bored, I had a decent camera and I had been designing Abney Park stage costumes for myself and the other members of the band.  All dressed up with nowhere to go, I took a series of self-portraits that I called the “Charleston Spacewalk” series.  I believe I posted them initially on MySpace and Livejournal, to no particular fanfare.

Although my “”“”“”modeling career”“”“” has produced hundreds or thousands of images of me so far, images that have gone everywhere and done everything, many of which were not authorized, I don’t remember and/or haven’t seen, this particular set is one of the most widely-traded.  It crops up in fan art, derivative works, or is posted alone, without comment more often than any other pictures of me with the possible exception of WoodEye’s “Lolita” series.

These are just the ones I’ve found.  There are certainly others.
