^^^ this moss has been cut off + glued back on, not grown or cultivated

hi everyone, the guy who does this “be the light” graffiti all over seattle is named Joshua Shay Griffith, and calls himself “Josh Wolve” as well as “Miku Seattle”. he was recently employed at Capitol One but was fired. he is a rich kid from texas, a tech bro who moved here several years ago, and is a serial domestic abuser with about 6 (that we found) DUI arrests and at least one order of protection by a former girlfriend. a couple years ago he started stalking me because i made stickers he didn’t like, threatening to rape me and kill my dog. here’s a very tame The Stranger article about it which doesn’t include any of the screenshots from his facebook we gave them, presumably because that kind of thing is hard to confirm for a small article and they didn’t want to start any trouble. he is currently fleeing a Seattle police department warrant for the stalking/domestic abuse/assault of his most recent girlfriend (not me, i’ve never met him).

according to people who know him, he may currently be pretending to be “homeless”.

^^ this is josh’s friend telling him its creepy to be posting on FB about me all the time, and josh saying he knows where i live (he didn’t, because he’s stupid)

image

^^ this is a post from josh’s fb where he is stalking and talking photos of a girl he thinks is me, referring to me as “stfu girl” because my sticker said “shut the fuck up” (it’s not me, like i said he’s extremely stupid)

please reblog, especially if you live in seattle or know someone who does! this man is extraordinarily dangerous and is likely still in the city and will continue to be an active danger to women here until he leaves or goes to prison.

being polyamorous rules and i love it but i think everyone who posts about how being polyamorous makes them Enlightened Minds moving ionto the Next Stage of Society unlike those Backwards Abusive Monogamists should all be put into one big polycule and then forced to survive in an underwater city like rapture for 100 years. and if we come back in like 10 years and theyve desceneded into murder anarchy theyre not allowed to say that stuff anymore

wetfoodforever asked:

what’s wrong with seattl? im moving to caphill to hang out with all the tgirl furrys. like aside from atrocious rents and the police in general etc

well ive spent years posting about this so maybe search my bblog but lol tgirl furries live in Renton now nobody can afford cap hill rent in this year of our lord 2023. White Center maybe. Amazon owns the entire city now and jeff bezos will go to public restaurants safely and without a police escort and people will just leave him alone. he has never been egged or pied or yelled at, not once. enjoy taking a 4 hour, 5-transfer bus route to go anywhere. cant ride your bike in the rain or on the cliffside streets. bus stops running at about 9pm every night. train has abt 3 stations. traffic gridlock is more or less continual and people cannot fuckin drive. rent starts at $2100/mo for a bedsit duplex made of particle board and PFAS they knocked down a hardwood-and-copper 1920s 6 bedroom house to build. the 1920s house had 10 gay artists living in it who didnt own cars and kept the local small businesses open by themselves. one restaurant in the city is open 24 hours and you really should not eat there. there are more missing step rapists here than anywhere else i have ever lived or visited because of a pervasive and heavily-enforced culture of both nonconfrontational interaction and never, ever putting in any effort into anything. people show up to the Seattle Opera, which is one of the best opera companies in the world, in birkenstocks and an REI fleece. we have two seasons now, “winter”, and “wildfire smoke”. absolutely everyone here is unshakably convinced there is a crime epidemic being caused by “homeless people” and “drug addicts”. god help you if you actually ever do need emergency services or to file a police report

(inhale)

for your insurance and HAVE to call 911 because if you have a car your catalytic converter (or bike if you have one) WILL be stolen on a brightly lit main street as passerby hurry past to avoid annoying the organized theft ring guys (who are not homeless btw) because they often just will not show up, theyve been on a slowdown since the CHAZ protests (which involved at least 2 separate “”“”“leftist”“”“” cults amongst the people trying to control the action on the ground [plus an Agile manager who was the one that insisted we change the name to “CHOP”, straight out of OSS Simple Sabotage Manual]) to, i guess, teach us all a lesson about “defunding the police” even though police funding has increased substantially in the interim, however its working and everyone in the city genuinely believes this is a natural consequence of “police defunding”. they havent been testing rape kits since at least 2015 and recently just stopped investigated all sex crimes (see earlier thing about rapists per capita). bands routinely skip seattle on tour because theres no point visiting a city where people will not dance at a show and find it difficult to even show up because you cant bike or take a bus anywhere and what small venue has parking for something like that? some friends of mine (trans) who moved here recently both had to basically emergency-machete their way out of different, separate queer communal houses that had levels of dysfunction that are difficult to describe. one of these houses had A Piss Wall. this is much more typical of the housing options available here than not, basically god help you if you need roommates because your chances of finding people to live with who will wash a saucepan they welded an impenetrable layer of chef boyardee onto 6 months ago without a court order, while not impossible, are vanishingly small. it’s racist here. it’s unbelievably racist, in ways that are so hard to pinpoint because all the racism is buried under 10 layers of white liberal virtue signaling and cOeXiSt yard signs which is designed specifically to make calling out racism so rude that it is considered an unforgivable social faux pas (actual racism is fine because we just dont acknowledge it so its not rude because it didnt happen). the one gay mental health and hormone clinic in seattle just closed and apparently dropped every one of their patient records into a sewer on the way out. Planned Parenthood can still prescribe HRT and Medicaid signup is insanely quick and easy here and you can still get an abortion. those are three things i can unironically say are good about western wa state. and it’s not farfetched to imagine a near future where that alone will tip the pro/con list in favor of seattle. shall i go on

seattle is one of the most affluent urban centers in the entire country, and every single inch of this city looks like it was built on the cheap. actually, worse. more than built on the cheap. built like everybody involved could not possibly have gotten it done without cutting an ungodly amount of corners until you have a building that looks like it's *trying* to be a high end luxury condo building, but just looks like a fake decoy padded out with plastic panels. except there is no fucking reason to cut corners in one of the most fuck off wealthy, bougie, yuppie, white cities in the literal center of the capitalist universe, the empire that hoards the resources of the world to an extent that's impossible to comprehend. this country that has more wealth and resources than it could ever hope to use over generations, and this is what it can do; the govt regulators do their work on the cheap, the architectural firms do their work on the cheap, the engineers do their work on the cheap, the construction workers do their work on a pretty penny and a ham sandwich, and the end product is a laughable facade of a building that'll fall apart in a million different ways in just a 10-15 year period, and condos crammed with just enough ~luxury~ designs and amenities to justify selling off those 1 bedroom puppies for 3 grand a month.

this is affluent america. this is the housing they build for their affluent, elite, highly educated, settler workforce. this country is so unbelievably fucked and nobody knows even the half of it.

One of the algorithm’s developers told ProPublica that leasing agents had “too much empathy” compared to computer generated pricing.

landlords are too empathetic, according to the dudes who are selling landlord software that tells landlords to raise rent despite massive vacancies

“The beauty of YieldStar is that it pushes you to go places that you wouldn’t have gone if you weren’t using it,” said Kortney Balas, director of revenue management at JVM Realty, referring to RealPage’s software in a testimonial video on the company’s website.
In one neighborhood in Seattle, ProPublica found, 70% of apartments were overseen by just 10 property managers, every single one of which used pricing software sold by RealPage.

amp works fine, Eli is playing his phone through it rn. guess i should look for a shitty bass or guitar next. i appreciate that whoever put this next to the dumpster made sure to put the accessories and cables inside it, that was a really compassionate thing to do for both the next owner and the device itself (because it enables the amp to keep “living” without someone having to hunt down cables etc).

i feel very philosophical about dumpster diving. My dad taught me to “scrounge” as he called it when I was very little and it immediately appealed to my video game-honed hunting and gathering instincts. My mom is an unbelievably good shopper: she knows how to find quality craftsmanship and materials, knows what a good price is, and is able to see into the future of an object’s time in your possession. both of them are borderline hoarders and so am I, naturally. :I

the way this amp was carefully set out in a clean, visible area with its accessories placed inside was a signal that it was functional but if you ever have to get rid of a large appliance or electrically powered object, PLEASE securely tape a note on the object you dump that says whether or not it is currently functional, and whether or not it has all its pieces. for example: “PRINTER WORKS, MISSING CORD (CAN BE REPLACED ON AMAZON)”. this is hard to remember but very easy to do and saves fellow proles soooo much time and effort. it’s just a little tiny gesture of working class solidarity that can make a huge difference in whether or not the item is wasted. because otherwise we have to carry the whole thing home and find a cord before we know if it works or not, and often things will get left to go to waste if someone who isn’t willing to take the chance on them comes around

seattle blog dumpster diving long post

i begrudgingly have to hand it to the seattle nextdoor for this one thing: every SINGLE time some dipshit posts about their missing outdoor cat, at least two people will comment and politely but seriously tell them to keep their fucking cat inside or it’s going to get eaten by a coyote. and then when someone’s cat is finally eaten by a coyote, the owners often post and say they wish they had kept it the fuck inside! hearts and minds people. with continual nagging, we can move mountains
